Shut Up Rush

Could somebody hit the mute button on Rush Limbaugh and his blowhard claims of winning the Indiana primary for Hillary. The numbers say Limbaugh's Operation Chaos charade had virtually no impact on the results. This is just the latest effort by Limbaugh to stem the significant loss of listeners and ad rates in recent years. His act has grown tired and stale and his self-congratulatory rantings have turned off a lot of listeners. I've tuned him out.

It is funny that you say you have tuned Rush out, but you know what his claims are. I am willing to wager you listen to him every chance you get and once considered him an icon. You are beginning to resemble that old journalist known as "the man who hated everything."

Like a lot of people I have gone from a fairly regular listener to very occasional. That's because I find his current act boring and self congratulatory. The same is true of Sean Hannity. But when I produced The Morton Downey Jr. TV program years ago, I tried hard to get Downey to book Rush who was then just starting out in NYC. Because Rush had replaced Downey on the radio in Sacramento, Downey hated him and it never happened. I got Rush back then and I get him now. Jim Langan
