DEMOCRATS STILL DON'T GET IT

Even after getting threir butts whipped on Tuesday, most democrats still don't get it. The first thing they did Wednesday morning was wake up and start calling all the Tea Party winners extremists or racists. That dispicable nonsense might have worked before but it won't fly in 2010. People will not be manipulated or frightened into voting for the same old hacks. They want a new team on the field and they want that team to reflect the frustration and anger they feel. A case in point is all the harrumphing about Carl Pallidino in New York. The fact that he's a little out there won't hurt him a bit. It will be a political asset. I love the sign in Pallidino's office that says "Friends don't let friends elect another Cuomo." The voters have had it with career, entitled hacks like Andrew Cuomo and Chuck Schumer. I'd be looking over my narrow, little shoulders if I were either of them. Stay mad folks and clean House and Senate.

I think the jury is still out on Carl Pallidino but it is completely in on Cuomo & I think it's been a long enough period of time for people to have forgotten what his father brought us. Record breaking taxes and the whole general fund game just to name 2. So the jury may just be hung on Cuomo & he may just squeak by after all anyone else will be severely out numbered. But i'm sure you just let your passion for a change in our states political machine push you to make this statement " They want a new team on the field and they want that team to reflect the frustration and anger they feel" ? Really I think most New Yorkers would rather have honest, competent, intelligent, hardworking & independent. And leave anger & frustration outside the voting booth. It's ok if the candidates recognize & understand & address anger & frustrations in the electorate. But many a terrible politician have been elected and made the situation worse because the voters only looked for someone as angry & frustrated as themselves instead of someone able to do the job. It's a very popular knee jerk reaction that seems to be sweeping across the body politic these days because everyone is itching for a change from state & local to the Fed. But the change you seek is rarely the change you get. And " Yes We Can " can turn in to " Tell Me Why Did We Do That Again " in a heart beat. So while I don't think Andrew Cuomo is the best man for the job. I wish someone that had answers rather than my same concerns would step up & i'm not sure that Carl Pallidino fits the bill. I hate choosing the lesser of 2 evils because 2 wrongs just make people more frustrated & nothing right. Thanks for your obvious passion for the state.
